R. 10634 To prohibit the demolition of Presidential memorials. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 28, 2026 Ms. Pingree introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To prohibit the demolition of Presidential memorials. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. PROHIBITION OF DEMOLITION OF PRESIDENTIAL MEMORIALS. (a) Definition of Demolish.--In this section, the term ``demolish'' means the intentional razing, destroying, or wrecking of an entire building or structure or a substantial portion of a building or structure. (b) Prohibition.--A memorial to honor a President of the United States designated by an Act of Congress may not be demolished unless authorized by an Act of Congress. <all>
