Editorial accountability

Corrections

Every material correction we make to Govwatch is logged here, with the date the change shipped and a one-line summary. The underlying data comes from third-party government sources, but the editorial choice of what to display and how to display it is ours, so corrections to that presentation belong on the record.

How we handle errors

When a reader flags a material error — a misattributed vote, an out-of-date member status, a wrong dollar figure — we verify against the original government source and either fix the display immediately or wait for the upstream source to update and explain the lag on the page.

Material means anything a reasonable visitor would care about: votes, finance figures, status transitions, member identities, ethics flags. We do not log typo fixes, styling tweaks, or copy edits here. Privacy, terms, and methodology updates are documented on each policy page's “Last updated” line.

See the Contact page for what to include when reporting an error, or email admin@govwatch.com with the page URL and what you saw.

Log

No material corrections logged to date.

That doesn't mean the site is perfect — data ingest from government sources is imperfect by nature. It means nothing material enough to warrant a record has been flagged and verified yet. If you spot something, please report it.
