[Congressional Bills 119th Congress] [From the U.S. Government Publishing Office] [H. Res. 1394 Introduced in House (IH)] <DOC> 119th CONGRESS 2d Session H. RES. 1394 Condemning prosecution policies that give preferential treatment to foreign nationals over United States citizens. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES June 29, 2026 Mr. LaLota submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary _______________________________________________________________________ RESOLUTION Condemning prosecution policies that give preferential treatment to foreign nationals over United States citizens. Whereas releasing criminal aliens onto American streets instead of prosecuting them endangers communities and undermines public safety; Whereas criminal aliens impose grave costs on American society; Whereas State and local prosecutors in sanctuary jurisdictions across the United States have enacted policies that allow foreign nationals to receive additional favorable considerations; Whereas these additional considerations are not granted to United States citizens; Whereas prosecution policies that favor foreign nationals, including illegal alien criminals, over United States citizens violate Federal civil rights law; Whereas crime committed by illegal alien criminals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law; Whereas every crime committed by an illegal alien is a preventable tragedy; and Whereas families who are re-victimized by prosecutors who prioritize the comfort of criminal aliens over justice for victims of crime deserve our sympathy: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the House of Representatives-- (1) condemns prosecution policies that give preferential treatment to foreign nationals over United States citizens; (2) affirms the civil rights of all Americans, which guarantee equal treatment under the law; (3) applauds prosecutors who uphold law and order by prosecuting all criminals, regardless of immigration status, to the fullest extent of the law; (4) implores State and local prosecutors to prosecute crime in American communities without consideration of an individual's immigration status; and (5) applauds the Department of Justice for investigating pro-illegal alien prosecution policies in sanctuary jurisdictions. <all>
