[Congressional Bills 119th Congress] [From the U.S. Government Publishing Office] [S. 5243 Introduced in Senate (IS)] <DOC> 119th CONGRESS 2d Session S. 5243 To provide for the automatic establishment of Trump accounts using information collected under the Enumeration at Birth Program of the Social Security Administration. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES August 5, 2026 Mrs. Capito (for herself and Mr. Justice) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Finance _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To provide for the automatic establishment of Trump accounts using information collected under the Enumeration at Birth Program of the Social Security Administration. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. USE OF SOCIAL SECURITY DATA FOR TRUMP ACCOUNT ENROLLMENT. (a) Definitions.--In this section: (1) Secretary.--The term ``Secretary'' means the Secretary of the Treasury or the Secretary's delegate. (2) Trump account.--The term ``Trump account'' has the meaning given such term under section 530A of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. (b) Collection of Information.--The Commissioner of Social Security, in consultation with the Secretary, shall modify the Enumeration at Birth Program of the Social Security Administration to collect and send to the Secretary such information as may be necessary to establish Trump accounts on behalf of newborn children. (c) Establishment of Account.--The Secretary shall establish a Trump account on behalf of each newborn child with respect to whom information is provided under subsection (b). <all>
