R. 10095 To amend the Foreign Service Act of 1980 to provide per diem eligibility for required leave of members of the Foreign Service. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES August 13, 2026 Mr. Keating (for himself, Mr. Kean, and Mr. Olszewski) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend the Foreign Service Act of 1980 to provide per diem eligibility for required leave of members of the Foreign Service. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. PER DIEM ELIGIBILITY FOR REQUIRED LEAVE. Section 903 of the Foreign Service Act of 1980 (22 U.S.C. 4083) is amended by adding at the end the following: ``(d) A member that is ordered to take leave under this section shall be eligible and required to receive allowances, lodging, and related benefits therefor, including benefits described in section 5702 of title 5, United States Code.''. <all>
